Whether you know it or not, recognize it or not, acknowledge it or not, you are creating momentum each and every day of your life.
If you are finding yourself stuck, you are still creating momentum, just not the kind you’d want. (One step forward/one step back.)
If you desire to have something you don’t have, you are either moving closer to it, or further away from it, all based upon your thoughts, feelings, behaviors and actions.
To create a breakthrough in your life, you have to intentionally use momentum to your advantage.
Momentum is simply motion, developing more and more energy.
You’ve already created momentum in your state of health, wealth, relationships and career.
Any overnight success will tell you that in actuality it was years of quiet work, (momentum generation, behind the scenes) that led to the onlooker’s observation that the success was achieved “overnight.”
If I want to have a high quality of health, yet I eat a donut for breakfast every morning, I’m creating counteractive momentum.
If I want to create abundant wealth, yet I spend more than I create, I will instead create abundant debt!
If I want lasting relationships that are deep and meaningful, yet I bicker, complain, judge, criticize every chance I get to prove myself right, well then, I’ll probably end up pretty lonely.
The key to momentum in the direction you desire is ALIGNMENT.
To bring yourself into alignment gives you focus, direction and intent.
When you choose alignment, you gain congruency and decisiveness. The donut becomes a minor distraction, which is easier to avoid over time because it does not align you’re your goal of optimal health.
The spending on frivolous expenses, unneeded material items requiring increasing monthly payments becomes a point of awareness to course-correct and find ways to either decrease expenses, increase income or both. It becomes a personal mission with focus, direction and intent.
The opportunity to point blame, criticize or prove oneself right in relationships becomes a choice to simply “let it go” and choose peace rather than choose “being right.” With momentum in relationships your focus shifts to the realization that when I care about others around me, in a truly loving way without an agenda, it comes back to me, and creates more happiness in my life as well.
First choose your direction. Then get congruent by getting in alignment with your thoughts, feelings, behaviors and actions. When the motion accumulates it becomes more effortless to live a life you love!
Momentum can be your friend. And remember, baby steps accumulated over time creates a solid foundation with massive results.
