When we wake up, look at Facebook and get frustrated at what we see happening in the world, we are giving away our Personal Power.
When we read a news story or get sucked into the latest drama and we feel negative emotion, the plug has been pulled and our Personal Power is going down the drain.
When we argue, get mad at another driver, at someone in front of us in a line, even when we get mad at the weather, or the fact that it’s a Monday, we give away our Personal Power.
Anytime we feel negative emotion because of what we observe, perceive, or assume, we give up the ENERGY of who we are.
If that happens consistently over time, we don’t adapt well. It takes less of a stressor to send us into a downward spiral. We get sick more often, we hurt more often, we judge more, get frustrated easier and life just isn’t as fun as it used to be.
All this leaves us with 2 choices
1. Continue with the same path & hope the EXTERNAL world changes to make our internal world brighter.
2. Become aware and MANAGE our internal world, so the outside world has less of an effect on us.
One allows us to be a victim, creating countless excuses…but we get to be right and validate why…and the other option takes a little more courage, but it comes with a sense of EMPOWERMENT, which undoubtedly will increase our ENERGY and Personal Power.
Personal Power is under our control. It’s a commitment to dig deep and find reasons to put a smile on our face, even when the world seems to be scowling or frowning. It’s the realization that we can be a magnificent influencer and help others, and we get to feel good in the process.
We get to be the influencer of our own VIBE.
