When you wake up in the morning are you subject to “having” to get up? Does the alarm clock “cause” you to wake up and get out of bed…maybe after hitting snooze a few 4-5 times? Do you have work you “have” to do? Kids you “have” to take care of, errands you “have” to run? Do you “follow” a schedule that others set for you?
A subtle shift in perception can cause your daily grind to become your daily find. Instead of saying “have to” start saying “get to” and see what happens.

You don’t HAVE to do anything. The thing is, you probably don’t want to deal with the consequences of NOT doing what you feel you SHOULD be doing because things can get real ugly, real fast, so it’s easy to say, “I HAVE TO, blah, blah, blah.”
Well I’m encouraging you to get real with yourself. First, gently slap your own cheek (on your face) and start saying, no, no, no, I GET TO…. blah, blah, blah. Next find a way to believe you have the power of choice. Even though it may not be something you WANT to do, it’s something you have the privilege to CHOOSE to do. And dig deep and realize, you are among the few on the planet that DO have a choice. You will become more empowered and instead of being a victim to everyone and everything and feeling sorry for yourself, you will find in the same environment, doing the same things that you will have a little more spring in your step.

Make your “HAVE TO’s” into “GET TO’s” and watch your disposition change.
Instead of the grind, you will find more enjoyment in your day!
Make it happen!
