I was so guilty of this. Listening to an audio book and during the audio the author would stop to say, “Take some time to write down what you’ve learned and how you’re going to apply this to your life.”
Whatever, I’ll get to it later, I’m driving!
Reading a book at home and turning the page to see blank lines where you’re supposed to “journal” your thoughts. Yeah, right! Next page please!
Earmarking (yes, I’m one of those people that earmarks the heck out of books I read) pages to note to myself there’s something important on this page that I’ll have to get to someday…
When is someday, anyway!?
I recently heard some advice that I am constantly working on heeding.

The speaker said, it’s better to choose 1 great influential and inspiring book and apply everything you can from it, than to read 20-50 books and spend all that time reading and NOT APPLYING ANYTHING.
That is a huge wake up call.
Read and APPLY. Big lesson there.
Make it real in your life… And GO!
