Why you need to accept your weight…and then do something about it

There are so many varied approaches to weight loss. Oh, so many! Diets, gadgets, miracle supplements, exercises, it is an endless money maker for companies that promise the magic bullet/ quick fix/ cure.

I’ve seen the roller coaster happen. Gain weight, get on a program, do well for a period, follow it, follow through, then miss a couple days, skip a planned meal, then snowball quickly back to where you were before you started. Then try another program. And another. Another. No long-term success.

I’ve seen the “I’m working on it,” with no results…the “I’ve got a trainer, I’m eating better, I only have one “cheat day” and I’ve only lost 1-2 lbs.

I’ve seen the ballistic, intense boot camps, but sadly despite positive results, there’s a whole lifestyle of momentum that catches back up after the intensive boot camp is over, and back to seeing that number increase on the scale.

I’ve heard the, “I’m getting older, it just keeps adding up, no matter what I do, it doesn’t seem to make a difference.”

It’s frustrating, isn’t it?

You know the quick fix isn’t going to work in the long run. There are so many options out there your head starts to spin. You may have friends that get you to try a specific cleanse/ a detox program/ a workout class, but you are only partially interested, and mostly doubtful.

What is one to do!?

I’m going to share with you a timeless solution. I know, I know, another “idea,” …is it worth reading on?

Well, let me tell you, this idea is one that NO ONE is selling. For one, it can’t be packaged, it can’t be marketed as a “quick fix,” it can’t be understood without some introspection. And that’s deep work that a “quick fix” mentality isn’t interested in. But that’s not you.

The one common denominator with anyone struggling to lose weight is the following statement:

“I hate my body.”

Any slight variation of that statement is the ABSOLUTE ROOT of being unsuccessful at “losing weight.” The EMOTIONAL issue is SO MUCH MORE POWERFUL than all the actions.

Now, while rare, there are some that can keep up the momentum with only the action, however I promise you the reason they are successful is that at some point they DO START LOVING THEIR BODY.

So, here’s the REAL DEAL FORMULA for lasting success that I implore you to activate in your life:

1. FALL IN LOVE WITH YOUR BODY – WHERE YOU ARE, AS YOU ARE. JUST DO IT.

2. FORGIVE YOURSELF FOR ALL THE HATE YOU’VE PILED ON YOURSELF. Write yourself a letter.

3. COMMITT TO NOW MAKING CHANGES FOR YOURSELF THAT YOU LOVE.

4. TAKE ACTION – BECAUSE NOW IT WILL WORK.

Follow that order! Going to ACTION too quick, creates only a short-term result! You’ve got this!
