Hi, I’m Dr. Nick. Welcome to the Elevation Principle: achieving new heights in your business, life and health.
One thing I’ve discovered as a health care practitioner over the past 13 years is that the same principles that apply to optimal health, apply to every other realm of our lives.
Because we are all human, I would be willing to bet that you may feel challenged in one realm of your life. Is it with relationships? Money? Career satisfaction? Your health and fitness? Your faith?
And I’d also be willing to bet that you really do succeed in one or more other realms of your life.
Let’s take a look at two of the most common: Money & Health. Let’s say we have someone who has a substantial savings, some investments, they own their own house, or it’s almost paid off. They have little to no debt. BUT, their health is struggling.
Let’s apply the principles of wealth building to health building. Do most people become wealthy in one big shot? NO! How would someone come close to or achieve paying off their mortgage? Small payments over time, right? How would someone accumulate savings? Small amounts accumulated over time, right? Investments are typically more challenging to manage. In this case it would be wise to seek advice from a professional, who could allow them peace of mind, placing their money at a slightly higher risk, with the potential of a greater reward. Wealth building, it’s a piece of cake!

But it’s a process that requires time, education and consistency of acquired good habits and right decisions.
With respect to their failing health, they could apply the same principles they used to acquire wealth. Why is this so challenging? Because human nature tends to gravitate to what is lacking. We are blinded by our successes and focus too much on our weaknesses. Then we place unrealistic expectations on what we truly desire. We hope for the quick fix. Save me Doc!
So, what’s the solution?
#1 is education. Education on how to move properly with the right exercises done consistently over time, along with, the right nutritional balance with accumulated good choices. Most importantly, the right mindset is required in the first place to rewire your brain for a healthier lifestyle.
And if you want to get there faster, hire a professional (just as you would an investment advisor), to help you guide the way to where you’ve never been before!
Each realm of health; physical, emotional, mental, environmental, nutritional, spiritual requires small amounts of the right stuff applied consistently over time. That’s the formula.
If you want to keep getting the same results, by all means keep doing what you’ve been doing.
If you want something different, you’ve got to elevate your thinking to new levels of thought.
Action Steps:
Look at what realm of life you feel successful in.
How did you achieve success in this realm of life? (Remember, sometimes we don’t see it or acknowledge it, because it’s always been our nature to actually do what was required to be successful!)
Apply what you discover to the realm of life you feel like you’re struggling in.
Keep moving forward. Don’t look for overnight success. Remember, small amounts applied consistently over time.
